Mobarrow: Built for Real Work

Mobarrow is a Czech-built electric drive system designed for off-road ground, steep slopes, tight pathways, and daily heavy work.

With high torque, industrial-grade components, and a modular steel frame, Mobarrow adapts to all types of work and all kinds of users.

Built to handle real jobs, in real conditions, with real loads — every day.

Choosing the Right Powered Wheelbarrow

Powered wheelbarrows can look similar on paper, yet behave very differently once loaded and put to work.

Before looking at mechanisms or specifications, it helps to understand what these machines actually need to do in real working conditions.

In practice, a good powered wheelbarrow should:

  • Move steadily under load, including repeated starts and slow movement into inclines

  • Deliver usable torque, not just motor speed

  • Remain stable when full, without feeling narrow or prone to tipping

  • Maintain traction and control on soft, wet, or uneven ground

  • Carry weight low and evenly, improving balance and confidence

  • Perform consistently outside ideal conditions, not just on smooth, level ground

With those principles in mind, the sections below explain how Mobarrow is designed to meet them.

What Mobarrow Actually Is

Mobarrow is not just a wheelbarrow — it’s a compact electric drive system built into a rugged steel platform.

The same integrated drive unit powers a full range of machines, from classic wheelbarrows to four-wheel transporters and specialist tools — all designed for off-road work, steep ground, and daily heavy use.

Why Mobarrow Is Electric
(And Not for the Reasons You Think)

Mobarrow isn’t electric because it’s fashionable or “green.”

It’s electric because, for this type of work, electric power is mechanically superior.

An electric motor delivers instant torque — full pulling power from zero speed.

There are no gears, no clutches, no warm-up. You press the throttle and it moves, with the same simplicity as a normal wheelbarrow — just with real power behind it.

Electric drive also means:

  • precise low-speed control

  • smooth hill starts

  • no stalling on slopes

  • no fumes, noise, fuel, or daily servicing

In real off-road work, with uneven ground and heavy loads, electric torque is the most reliable and practical solution — which is why the entire Mobarrow system is built around it.

The Heart of Mobarrow: The Integrated Drive Unit

Mobarrow’s strength comes from an integrated drive unit —

the motor, gearbox, and wheel built together as one sealed module.

  • Industrial 12 V DC motor gives strong torque at low speed

  • Planetary steel gearbox multiplies torque

  • Fully sealed, lubricated, maintenance-free

  • No belts. No chains. No exposed parts — nothing to snap or clog

This is why Mobarrow climbs hills, pushes through mud, and carries loads normal wheelbarrows cannot.

High-Torque DC Motor (Not a Scooter Motor)

Most electric barrows use scooter-style BLDC motors: fast spinning but low torque, so they stall on slopes.

Mobarrow uses an industrial series-wound DC motor built for machinery:

  • High torque from zero speed

  • No overheating on hills

  • Designed to push weight, not spin fast

It keeps moving when cheap motors give up.

Planetary Gearbox for Real Power

The sealed planetary gearbox turns motor torque into real pulling force.

  • Hardened steel gears

  • Permanently lubricated

  • Zero maintenance

  • Sealed against mud, sand, and water

Load it, point it uphill — it goes.

Lamellar Tyres — Grip With Zero Maintenance

Invented and built by Isolit Bravo, the Lamellar Tyre is Mobarrow’s own off-road wheel — stronger, grippier, and more reliable than any tractor tyre.

  • No punctures, no tubes, no valves — 100% maintenance-free

  • TPU construction resists cuts, abrasion, cold, UV, and heavy impacts

  • Segmented design flexes under load, widening the footprint for maximum traction on hills, mud, grass, and gravel

  • Self-cleaning tread — mud falls off as it rotates, keeping grip even in wet conditions

  • Available in 10 cm or 16 cm widths depending on model and terrain

More grip, no failures — the tyre built for real Irish ground.

All-Day Battery Power

Mobarrow uses a 12V / 22Ah AGM deep-cycle traction battery — a proven format used across industrial electric carriers.

This choice is deliberate.

Powered wheelbarrows need reliable start torque, predictable behaviour in cold and wet conditions, and a battery system that tolerates vibration, impact, and daily use.

AGM batteries are:

  • sealed and spill-resistant

  • well-suited to repeated starts under load

  • stable in real outdoor working conditions

  • simple to charge, service, and replace

In practice, this delivers:

  • 6–8 hours of typical runtime, depending on load and terrain

  • ~4 hours to recharge with the correct charger

Rather than chasing headline specifications, the battery system is designed to work consistently — all day, every day.

Industrial-Grade Steel Frame

Mobarrow’s frame is welded from thick-wall steel tubing, coated for long-term corrosion resistance.

  • One-piece welded structure — no bolts to loosen

  • Built to handle daily abuse on farms, sites, and steep ground

  • Balanced for stability with heavy loads

It’s a professional chassis, not a garden wheelbarrow frame.

Modular System: Built for Any Job

Mobarrow is built as a universal work platform, not a single-purpose wheelbarrow.

The welded steel frame accepts multiple bins, frames, and both front and rear attachments, all designed and made by Isolit Bravo — with new tools added every year.

Swap Bins in Minutes

Choose the load space that suits your work:

80 L, 100 L, 120 L, 200 L bins or the timber frame for bulky material.

All swap over in about 3 minutes.

Turn It Into a Three-Wheel Dumper

Add the side-tipping mechanism and Triglav wheels to transform Mobarrow into a compact, highly maneuverable three-wheel dumper for soil, gravel, and construction work.

Front & Rear Attachments

Mobarrow supports a growing range of add-ons:

  • Snow blade

  • Trailer hitch

  • Front forks

  • many more

One frame. One drive system. Unlimited jobs.
